Scouting is fun... with a purpose!

Welcome to Pack 8

Pack 8 in Dracut, Massachusetts is an active, fun Cub Scout Pack, chartered by Ste. Marguerite D'Youville Parish. Annually we have over 50 scouts covering the full age range (Tigers - Webelos II).

Last year among other events, we went on day hikes and overnight camping trips, raced Pinewood Derby cars and Raingutter Regatta boats, collected food for the hungry and decorated veterans' graves, marched in parades, and attended Day Camp. Our boys worked hard to earn personal recognition and advancements. In fact, nearly every scout earned his rank badge at the annual Blue & Gold banquet. More than anything else, the boys had fun!

Click on Pack 8 Activities for a more detailed list.

Explore this website. See what we have to offer to a boy and his family. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

For the safety of our scouts, the Pack maintains a private, by invitation only website --which you are unable to see or access from this part of the site--  to communicate with Pack 8 members. There's more detailed information regarding upcoming events and Pack functions, as well as a Pack 8 on-line photo album, in that part of our website. It's one of the ways we keep in touch with each other and share information about meetings, outings, opportunities, and special events.

If you are interested in joining Pack 8, please contact us by clicking the Cubmaster logo.

Welcome St. Louis, Brookside, and Parker Ave. Students!

Most of our scouts come from your schools and Cub Scouts advance in their age level groups. This means that you'll see familiar faces at the same time you make new friends. Pack 8 is a really welcoming and comfortable place to be a boy.

Come aboard now and join experienced Pack 8 Cub Scouts who will make you feel welcome and will help you get the most out of scouting. From your very first meeting, you're one of us... a Cub Scout. You will participate in all Pack 8 functions including our year-end picnic, Raingutter Regatta (model sailboat racing... in a rain gutter), model rocket shoot, and an evening at the Lowell Spinners' LeLacheur Park.

You are also eligible to attend the Westwind District Summer Camps with your new found friends in Pack 8. Ask your parents to click on the Cubmaster patch to send a message to our Top Scouter. He'll let you and your family know how you can join us. We all look forward to meeting you.
